The Bassoon King: Tuesday Starts with Tea

This week I started reading a new book, The Bassoon King by Rainn Wilson…or most popularly known as the guy who played the role of Dwight Shrute on one of the best television shows ever; The Office.

I ordered this book a few weeks ago from Amazon, s0 that I could read it for Tuesday Starts with Tea. Little did I know I would be receiving a signed copy! Neat! Definitely made me happy.

For tea this week I had planned on trying a few new (to me) teas from Harney and Sons, but unfortunately…they haven’t arrived in the mail yet. So, I decided to stick with an old favorite of mine from them until the new teas a arrive.

Hot Cinnamon Sunset

You may remember when I wrote about this delicious tea in this post. I love this tea, I have gone through multiple tins of it already. Which is a big deal for me because I don’t normally finish tins fast, if at all.

It tastes so good, the after taste reminds me of Cinnamon Ice Breakers mints; I love those too, I used to always have a pack of them around.

If you want to try this tea, you can get it on Amazon: here.

You can also buy it through their website, and use this link (HTTP://RWRD.IO/M31580R) to get $5.00 off when you spend $30 or more, it’s easy to do, trust me.

Now on to the book.

The Bassoon King

I’m going to be real with you…so far I’ve only read two chapters.

The Dirt was so good; but so long. It sort of made me burnt out on reading for a little bit, I needed a break. I loved that book and I love the way it told the story of Motley Crue through each member’s (and manager’s) perspective, but sometimes that made it seem as if the book was never-ending.

So far in The Bassoon King I’ve learned how Rainn got his name, that he has had a tapeworm twice, and that as a baby he apparently looked like an alien.

I will admit the book started off kind of slow…for me at least, the first few pages sort of felt like I was in a History lesson or something. However the book has started to pick up right around the time of the tapeworm(s).

I think we can all agree that Rainn’s performance as Dwight is one of the best parts, if not the best part of The Office, so I’m excited to see where this book goes.

If you are interested in reading this book too, you can find it on Amazon here.
